I love leading bird walks. I teach birding and listening to birdsong as both a meditative practice and as a history lesson of colonization. My background in planning adds to my fascination with urban birding — a hobby that is inextricably tied to public space and natural resources.

I am an advocate of equitable birding that is open to BIPOC and all ages, genders, and sexual orientations, is ADA accessible, and can be enjoyed without judgement, expensive equipment, or car ownership.

I have had the great fortune of being able to bird around the world and have recorded over 600+ species since 2021. I’m excited to continue expanding my knowledge of this hobby in my travels.
